Our Mission

To promote a tobacco-free society that benefits the health of all Brooklyn residents.

We believe that every Brooklyn resident has the right to breathe clean, smoke-free air where they live, work and play. We believe that it is unacceptable for Brooklyn youth to be lured into a life of addiction. We believe that every smoker deserves the support and resources to quit.

Brooklyn Smoke-Free Partnership

The Brooklyn Smoke-Free Partnership is a health advocacy group that increases awareness of tobacco control issues in the borough of Brooklyn among community members and policymakers. Partnering with the community, legislators, and health advocates, we support neighborhood-based efforts for effective and long term change throughout the borough of Brooklyn. We are funded through grants from the Department of Health and Human Services and the New York State Department of Health.

  • Reduce access to tobacco products and limit tobacco industry marketing to youth.
  • Increase the number of smoke-free outdoor spaces, including parks, beaches, and entryways.
  • Increase the number of apartment buildings, co-ops and condos that are 100% smoke-free.
  • Engage community partners to build support for policy campaigns.
