Our Mission:

To promote a tobacco-free society that benefits the health of all Manhattan residents.

We believe that every Manhattan resident has the right to breathe clean, smoke-free air where they live, work and play. We believe that it is unacceptable for Manhattan youth to be lured into a life of addiction. We believe that every smoker deserves the support and resources to quit.

Manhattan Smoke-Free Partnership

The Manhattan Smoke-Free Partnership is a health advocacy organization that works to increase public and policymaker awareness of tobacco prevention and control issues.

Partnering with community groups, elected officials, and health advocates, we support neighborhood-based efforts for effective and long term change throughout the borough of Manhattan. We are funded through grants from the Department of Health and Human Services and the New York State Department of Health.

  • Reduce access to tobacco products and limit tobacco industry marketing to youth.
  • Increase the number of smoke-free outdoor spaces, including parks, beaches, and entryways.
  • Increase the number of apartment buildings, co-ops and condos that are 100% smoke-free.
  • Engage community partners to build support for policy campaigns.
